3/8" to 1/2"
So our team is looking at buying an AndyMark Bevel Box (as shown herehttp://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-2622.htm).
The problem we are having is that everything we will be putting on this shaft only comes in 1/2" hex. Does anyone know of a part we can buy that will adapt a 3/8" hex shaft to 1/2" hex, or are we going to need to make our own custom part. |

Re: 3/8" to 1/2"
You can also see that the shaft coming out of the gearbox is tapped (probably 1/4-20 or 10-32). You can drill and tap the same hole into a piece of your 1/2" hex shaft and then connect them with a piece of all thread (ready rod). If you have a metal lathe and someone who knows how to use it, it is quite easy. We did this to extend the shafts on our VexPro VersaPlanetary gearboxes.
