Labview Install Issue

I keep getting this error when trying to install Labview from the CD:

NI Labview 2015 32-Bit must be installed before you can install the NI Labview 2015 Real-Time Module.

I've proceeded to install the other items, but Labview won't open. How can I fix this?

Re: Labview Install Issue

Are you running the auto-launch, or a specific setup.exe program. It sorta sounds like you may be independently installing products and getting errors for them going out of order.

If this is not the case, I would recommend using Add/Remove to remove the LabVIEW 2015 stuff and trying again. If you do not get it working, please consider going to ni.com/frc and using the support resources there -- on Monday.

Re: Labview Install Issue

I'm running the install as it pops up directly from the disc. I'll attempt the Add/Remove stuff and post further on NI Monday if I continue having issues. Thanks!

Re: Labview Install Issue

I attempted removal, everything had already been uninstalled.

I inserted the CD again and ran the startup that popped up, and got to the screen shown in the attached image. I'll pursue this on the NI website tomorrow, unless someone knows how to fix this. Thank you.

Re: Labview Install Issue

I think that is the right move. The Microsoft MSI stuff is generally pretty reliable, but when the registry isn't right, it wreaks havoc with installations. The support engineers have some stuff to clean up the registry, and that will allow the first step of the install to complete successfully and avoid step two failing because step one was skipped or failed for some reason.
