Will portcullis rack if lifted from one side?

For the portcullis, our team is considering to use a single extended bar to lift the portcullis.
From the plans on page 243;2016 field component manuel, we can see that the doors in the diagram are spring loaded with guide wheels, and we were wondering if the assembly will 'rack', meaning flex and jam if we lift it from one side only?

I highly doubt that it will ever bind, but I lack any definitive physical evidence.

I agree with RoboChair, but also lack any evidence.

Re: Will portcullis rack if lifted from one side?

At Kickoff in Manchester I lifted it from one side only and it rose smoothly without any hint of binding.
With the caveat that being the Kickoff field it had not been through any competitions yet.
The construction looked pretty solidly stable though.
