motor selection

The team seams to have a few of these http://www.tetrixrobotics.com/Motors..._DC_Gear_Motor and would work well for a task on our robot. I'm new to FRC and the others are not sure of the legality of this motor. We have looked at Table 4-1 in R29. Seems there are a few listed motors that say "Various" . Also this motor seems physically the same as the am-0912 that look to marry to the Andymark NeveRest Gearboxs. Can some one help clear this up?

Thanks

Re: motor selection

Tetrix motors are not legal and you do not want to use them on an FRC robot, since they burn up way too easily.

"Various" refers to different types of car window and door motors, which the Tetrix motor isn't. The NeveRest motor is a different motor that the AM-0912.

What you're looking at (Tetrix motor, AM Neverest motors/gearboxes) are FTC products and are not legal for FRC.
