Secret Passage vs Outerworks
Our team is building the field and ran into a snag. From the end of the outer works to the edge of the secret passage there is a gap around 20 inches. We have scoured the game manual, double checked everything, and are still coming up with a gap. The game animation shows that they should touch.
If we are correct the outworks should be 240" (48" x 5) The secret Passage is 53.5" wide. In our math is correct that is a gap of 25.5" The field is 319" wide. That leave us with a gap of 25.5" Any suggestions? Thanks for your time and help |

Re: Secret Passage vs Outerworks
Team defenses are designed to use standard dimensional lumber and plywood stock sizes. Official defenses are a little wider. Making team defenses to the official width would waste a lot of plywood.
Build some practice dividers that take up the remaining width. I think that is what 4334 did. |

Re: Secret Passage vs Outerworks
I don't believe all outerworks are four feet long as you put in your math. Off a quick glance in the manual I already saw the moat is at least 50 inches wide plus the shields which technically add some width. Also, while I did not go to any kickoffs, I'm sure some of the people that did can vouch that the secret passage and outerworks didn't have a gap

The team platforms are 48" (the width of a standard plywood sheet) while the competition platforms are 52.5" wide. Add to that the space from the shields that divide the defenses We constructed shields and inter-platform dividers that are ~5" wide to take up this extra room. |

Re: Secret Passage vs Outerworks
Thanks for the help. They should have given us the east sizes even if it wastes a little wood. Now it looks kinda weird but will work. We used the field specs given by first.
