Re: ORBIT 1690 "samur" reveal
I am guessing on the final robot that the intake mechanism is actuated to fit in the bumper zone at the start of a match?

Re: ORBIT 1690 "samur" reveal
Just interested about your vision system, its obvious you have some sort of auto align system with the green led ring light :O could it be mine? or is it something else?

Re: ORBIT 1690 "samur" reveal
All I have to say is...What an intro..thank god I had speakers and not the headphones plugged in. Other than that you guys look like you have a solid design. Good luck this year!

Re: ORBIT 1690 "samur" reveal
We use the LabVIEW vision processing example as a basis, and then write our own to adjust it to our robot and our needs.

Re: ORBIT 1690 "samur" reveal
Everybody seem to be taking the word combination 'robot reveal' way too seriously. This is just a humorous video the team put together to showcase the prototype robot.
We thought it would be funny to advertise it as the real one and see the responses. It was funny at first but we feel that the fact lots of people react so seriously about it may make us look bad. So for anyone who may be concerned, we are fully aware of the rules and the final robot will follow them all. It is pretty close conceptually, but is designed and built way better than the one shown in this video. It is coming together nicely and will be revealed on it's own closer to competition season. The students are pretty secretive about the specifics so I can't post anything at the moment, but we encourage you to stay tuned for the real reveal. Good luck to all teams in the final 2 weeks of build season! |
