What do your human players and mentors do?

... In our case, once autonomous mode concludes, our mentor starts barking out instructions for the driver and operator. He is basically the on-site strategist.

I, being the human player, have the job of yelling times, calculating scores for either alliance, and communicating with the other team. I'm just wondering what other teams do, and if anyone has a better system.

We would just yell at the driver what to do... I don't think he needed it though.

Place your attention entirely on my voice and try to ignore all the others. It is important to be able to focus on a single source of information while blocking out all the other things competing for your attention.

Our HP mans the wings.
Or at least that is the plan, anyway. Don't know if she's practiced, but it doesn't take long to get familiar with them.
Our mentor yells at the drivers. She is a student, by the way.

Thanks for the vote of confidence... I think.

Anyways, our field team consisted of four students without any adults there. Basically, the three non-drivers helped monitor the rest of the field so I could concentrate on our actual 'bot and coaxing it into turning even though it never really wanted to. This included things like telling me how much time we had left, which stacks to go after, what the opponent was doing on our side of the field, when it was time to race for the top, etc.

No driver, no matter how good, can keep track of four robots, 45 tubs, and an entire 1000 ft2 (approx) arena. That's what the mentors, HPs, and other driver are for.
