Test for Robot Inspectors is available

The test for RI's is available to people who have been assigned an RI role at a competition.

Go through VIMS and click on Testing / Go To Certification.

Still no ref test

(though my head ref did say that the training was being greatly enhanced for this year for refs - always a good sign!)

Can't image why this game is any more difficult to ref than prior years. All they need to do is have one Ref per Boulder.

Well, Head Refs went direct to Manchester for training this year (just like LRIs and FTAs); from my one experience reffing (2014), the training definitely left a lot to be desired, so it's not just a facet of the game.

I really don't think 18 refs are necessary, or able to fit around the field comfortably.

Also, I might suggest the added cost of the extra headsets and/or tablets might counteract that.

Sorry that I opened up this can of worms in this unrelated thread

Anyhow, let's take the ref test (or lack thereof) to a separate thread than the RI test. I'll start one now to debate the merits of reffing this year's game
