c++ and UltraSonic sensors

Hey guys! does anyone know how to get the ultrasonic sensors to work in programming? we are working with the MB1200 XL-MaxSonar-EZ0 sensor. all we want to do is see distance in inches.... but we haven't had any luck... please help!

also... does anyone know how to wire it? I cant find it in any documentation...

How do you know the programming doesn't work if you don't have a working sonar?

because when I was putting stuff in... it was coming up as an error to get the value as inches... got that to go away... thanks for the links... I'm going to look at them
