We bring a bench setup with a mini mill and mini lathe. The mill serves as a drill press as well, and very few other teams have the lathe capabilities. It runs all weekend long, usually, as teams come to use it (which is to say, we'll have someone on our team make the parts to spec for them, because we can't verify their safety training on the machines).
As a trade-off, if necessary we're usually bugging other teams for use of their band saw (as we have a portaband, but don't really have the space for a standard band saw.)
After each match the pit crew gathers up the parts from the field and finds a new and interesting way to assemble them. - tsaksa [more]
