We will be glad to assist you (we are programming in C++)
Please give us some more information, do you have any programmers left? What do they need help with?

Greeting,

We are using English as our main language.

I am just kidding, we are using LabView 2015, we have no code for this years competition. We do have last years code, however we are using a tank drive this year whereas last year we simply used wheels. Thanks for the help!!

Re: Seeking Help for Programing!!!

Although I can't help with LabView, what do you mean by tank vs wheels? Did you do arcade drive last year (1 joystick to translate the robot around the field)? Or 2 joysticks?

Do you mean you're using tank treads?

Re: Seeking Help for Programing!!!

What are you guys planning on doing this year?
And how far do you want to take everything? Think about:
- Autonomous
- Feedback loops
- Controls
- How many sub systems

Because it is very easy to just use the standard project FIRST gives you with some minor tweaks. But building complicated systems will take time and testing which is difficult when living in different timezones.

Edit: we are using labview so I could help when I have time.

Re: Seeking Help for Programing!!!

Out team programs in LabVIEW as well, and when I was training our new students, I had them read this book: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...book+labv iew

It was very useful for me and I learned some new things.

Yes I mean tank treads and I believe it was two joysticks. Sorry for the miscommunication.

Re: Seeking Help for Programing!!!

If you used two joysticks to translate the robot about the field (and presumably a third joystick for the 2nd driver), you used what is called "tank drive". This means that the left joystick controlled the wheels on the left side of the robot, and the right joystick controlled the wheels on the right side.

Your code for driving will be almost the exact same as with tank treads.
