Thanks to 507, 1077, the dream alliance

We're back from Atlanta and boy are we tired!

I wanted to send out a heart-felt thank you to our alliance partners, 507 and 1077, for making the Peachtree Regional a really special event for us.

This was our first time as an alliance captain, and we couldn't believe that we managed to get together such a great alliance.

Team 507 (Solid Orange): We had an outstanding qualifying match on day one and showed that we complimented each other's abilities well. We knew we were going to be a good pairing and showed that in the Quarters. More importantly, we really got to know the people on Solid Orange and enjoyed sharing the pits with you.

Team 1077 (Team Stars): You guys are the greatest. We couldn't believe that you slipped through the cracks in the selection process to allow us to pick you. You were the perfect third bot to compliment our strategy and you performed marvelously in the quarters and semis. Your positive attitude and enthusiasm and spirit really picked us up.

It's too bad we snapped a pin and Solid Orange threw a drive chain in back to back matches in the semis. I know robustness is part of the game, but that was really rotten timing. Still, you guys (507 & 1077) almost pulled off match #2, despite that. It was a heck of a good performance.

Congrats to Team 868 on your GM Industrial Design Award. We enjoyed meeting you in St. Louis and were happy to see you in Atlanta.

Congrats to 34, 494, and 1180 for winning the regional. You guys had an outstanding alliance. I was looking forward to seeing you guys in the finals, but, alas, that was not to be. Good luck at Nationals.

I really do not know where to begin. I had so much fun and met many new people. I can honestly say that I enjoyed it more than any other regional I have been to in the past couple of years.

To the "Dream Alliance":

Team #507 (Solid Orange): It was nice to meet all of you, you guys have a great robot and I look forward to seeing you all at Nationals.

Team #356 (Enigma): I am very glad that I had the opportunity to meet such a great group of individuals as Team 356 (Enigma). You guys are great - I can't thank you enough for what you did for us. When I saw Kate hiding a bucket behind her back - I was expressionless. We are all very grateful. If it wasn't for your team's act of kindness we would not be going to Houston at all. If we get anywhere at Nationals we owe it to Team Enigma. Your team's name and logo will surely go on our robot and made visible at our pits. I am glad that we were able to make the event that much more special for you. We were just glad to be picked

It's too bad that we were not able to help qualify you guys for Nationals - it would be so much better with you guys there. Despite the fact we lost, I still think we had the best alliance out there. Our robots worked great together - just bad luck I guess as far as the breaking parts goes.

Keep in touch - I hope that our teams can work together in the future. Thank you again!

Special thanks/recognition:

Team 186 (Fun in the Sun): Thanks for all your programing help Ivan, we still don't know why the code would not load, but your persistence and continued help was great. It was nice meeting you. Congratulations on your "Delphi "Driving Tomorrow's Technology" Award"!

Team 654 (Mechateuthis Dux): You guys made a great alliance partner and it was a lot of fun playing with you and it was easy working with you. We had our eye on you the whole competition and I am glad that you guys got picked for the finals. Even better is the fact that we never had to compete against you.

Team 868 (Techhounds): You made the competition enjoyable for us as well, it was fun being your alliance partner and being able to work with you. I am glad you guys got picked for the finals as well, you deserved it. Congratulations on your "GM Industrial Design Award"!

Also: To everyone we played matches with - it was nice to meet you all.

Also, congratulations to 34, 494, and 1180 for winning the Regional. You guys had great bots. I was really hoping to go against you guys. Good luck at Nationals!

One last parting word..

Ubaaa!

I 2nd that!

I second everything that Sergio said.

The Peachtree Regional was the Best Regional I have experienced in 3 years. It was amazing, I do not know where to begin.

The "dream alliance " (356/507)
Wonderful alliance I look forward to working with you guys in the future. I think our 3 teams did an exceptional job of coming together and making it as far as we did. The environment working with you guys was amazing.

As for 654 and 868: Out of all our seeding alliances you 2 had to be the 2 teams that I just had absolutely no problem whatever in working with.

868: You guys had one great Coach, and stage crew and a magnificent robot! The amount of communication we had together was great. Congrats on your award and I hope to be pared up with you guys some time in the future.

654: Its teams like you that make a Coaches job 10 times easier. We had great communication and you guys were just great to be around and compete with. The positive energy that you guys were giving off, allowed us just to go out there and have fun. You guys had a great bot that was very reliable and one out of this world stage crew! Well, keep an eye out for you in the future.

Last but not least
Dan (The Reff) who was there for us when we needed him, thanks for everything!!
and Tom (From IFI) Thanks for all your help, and keeping an eye out for us! We owe you so much!
and to every other team that we played with! Thanks for making this a Regional that will not be forgotten.
