Bumpers - velcro

Hello, Given that we have the red bumpers on our bot and they are legal (material stapled to wood frame of bumper), can we attach the blue material onto the bumpers with velcro only? This would be our bumper change from red to blue...
We're not sure if the blue material must be fastened (or sewed) onto the bumper frame. We would like to attach the blue material with velcro only . Thank you!

Re: Bumpers - velcro

Yes, you may attach them with velcro, provided the velcro is only in the "hard parts" of the bumper (ie on top of or behind the plywood), per Q&A 798. Make sure the covers attach well and will not come off in vigorous game play. Also make sure they don't droop outside of the bumper zone!
