Re: pic: Mini "Belly Pans" for Talons

What is the name of those connectors you are using on your Talon SRX power and motor wires?

We are currently designing our electronics board, too, and we need our Talon SRXs to be hot-swappable, and easy to take in and out.

Thanks!

Those look like anderson powerpoles to me. They are pretty common in FRC applications. Link: http://www.powerwerx.com/anderson-po...owerpole-sets/

Also worth noting, you can buy them in bulk at Andymark: http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-2912.htm, though you need a proper crimping tool for them.

We are doing something like this too. Are your panels screwed on somehow? Are you using the latching connectors from Hansen Hobbies for the CAN bus wires or something similar?

If you want to try them out before committing, swing by our lab across the street from you guys and grab a couple We've standardized on Anderson's and it has been fantastic!

We recently bought the crimping tool, and it has made life MUCH MUCH easier. Do buy the tool if you want to use Power Poles.

Re: pic: Mini "Belly Pans" for Talons

Looks slick and elegantly compact. So much better than the old days of making room for a 3x3 grid of Jaguars (that was "fun"). Actually, one can still legally do that ...
