midwest finals

Congrats to 45, 245, and 292. You guys were a great alliance. Thanks to 16 and 65 for picking us and forming such a great alliance. Its an awful shame 16 lost their radio modem connection in the first match of the finals but thats the way things go. We are extremely happy though, we climbed from dead last place to nearly winning the championship. Thanks again baxter and huskie brigade.

Why did 167 win the delphi award? Was it for their drive train, (i've seen it, it's cool.)

Man oh man was NW regional awsome! But there are a few special thank-yous I'd like to say

Brian Ulmer/Team 111(Wild Stang/Motorola) for the W.A.S.U. utility. It was plenty of fun helping you guys out, and thanks for letting us. As a programmer any program I see I always always try to figure out how this or that was done and why.

Truck Town Thundar(68)- Thanks for looking past the rank and right to skill. Our alliance did awsome. Our team isn't disappointed. 3rd place isn't bad at all. Going to miss you at West Mich Regional

btw Good job 292(and of course your allies) because we matched against you twice(qualification) and you did exceptionaly well, winning both times even after being inverted 90*. Good Job, good Design.

Great finals

These finals were the most action packed in the nation in my opinion so far this year. I can't wait till Nationals.

heimdallr - Thats the great part about having some great people in the stands watching the strategy of teams through out the competition. "Hey I need to talk to that Denny guy", lol. I agree its too bad we can't make it too Western Michigan this weekend. I know our team leader Bob Evoy will be doing the annoying. I think I speak for the students on the team, going three weekends in a row is hard enough, no need to make it four. College gets a little hard after taking off three weeks... lol

Team 461 - Great job on winning the regional Chairmans award. I wish you the best of luck competing for the national Chairmans award. Shannon you make me proud to be a fellow alumnus from team 68 with people like us still inspiring teams!! Who knows, maybe the Purdue team can give the Michigan Tech team a little help with the chairmans award next year. :-)

Eismann - being the coach on the field I guess I didn't hear that term... lol Some thing that I was just noticing is that all of are team numbers are so much alike. 68, 648 and 658. Well there is always Nationals and lets hope a transmission doesn't fall out :-)
Be great to be with 648 and 658 again if the divisions work out.

Thank you Mark. We really appreciate everything that 68 has done for us over the last 4 year, and continue to do for us.

We would have no problem helping the Michigan Tech team with the Chairmans award... honestly we are still in shock over the whole thing. Whenever we see each other in the halls at school we just tell each other 'dude we won the chairmans award...' cuz we really cant believe it!

We <3 Truck Town

I would like to put a special thanks out to 65 for comming over and helping us with our drive motor problems. They saw we were having problems and struggling a little with determining a cause.
With their help and experience we determined it to be a breaker problem (as we thaught at the time).

Come to find out about a match later. It was actually a bad connection on the Drill Motors. Someone decided to check the connection on the back of the drill motor and the whole accembly fell apart. So come to find out it was just a bad connection. Replaced the motor part and didn't lose a match since.

Thanks for the help there 65.

Also thanks to 65 and 16 for picking us to be in your great alliance. I think it would have been a different finish if 16 didn't lose their radio connection in the final match :-(

MidWest sounds like one heck of a regional. I want to see the elimination rounds.

Are there videos anywhere? (We looked on SOAP108 and found the qualifying matches, which was great. Now we want to see the rest.)

Since 245 (Adams High School) is one of the high schools close to us, congrats to them and their alliances 45 and 292. Our team wasn't there but I just heard about it from a few people from team 68 that go to my school.
