Is this legal at competitions?

I apologize if this specific question has been asked in the past. I did search for it. I was asked by a member of our code team to pose this question:

Can we use a rasberrypi to host a website offline (LAN) with an old router ? It would all be offline and use only LAN connection.

Thank you.

Team 5234

Re: Is this legal at competitions?

As long as it does not broadcast any sort of wireless signal and your run everything only over Ethernet ports you should be good.

Re: Is this legal at competitions?

Agreed. All of the (off-field) network restrictions are essentially directed at keeping the 802.11 FMS network clear of interference. Wired connections, bluetooth connections, IR connections, have no FRC-legal issues unless they involve drive teams.
