Driver Station suddenly stopped connecting to roboRIO

Two days ago we were test driving our robot using the usb cable, and everything was working normally. Today we tried to connect to the robot with the to test a new feature in the code and it would not connect to the same laptop that it was working on two days ago.

It is a windows 10 laptop. Everything on my laptop is up to date.
The Driver Station version is 16.0.1.
A direct connection over USB does not show up at all through the Driver Station.
I can connect to the roboRIO over an ethernet cable.
I do not know yet if the radio works, I haven't had a chance to test it.
The firewall is configured to allow all NI programs to pass through it.

Does anyone know what could be wrong? I don't have the faintest clue.

Did it give an error code? Say any kind of message? Or it just won't connect?

It just won't connect at all. I can reach it over ethernet, but not over USB.
I just got a chance to test the radio, and it won't connect to the roboRIO through the bridge, but it will connect to the bridge.

Interesting...
It almost sounds like there's a problem with the roboRIO itself if it weren't for it connecting to the ethernet. If you were using USB two days ago, and it won't work today, I honestly haven't the slightest idea why that would change.

It's good the radio works - to a certain extent, anyway - but it's strange that it too won't connect to the roboRIO. Perhaps it has something to do with the code? I know there's pretty much a little to none chance of it, but that might be the case. (Have you changed, edited, or "messed with" the code during the period of time between two days ago and around now?)

Re: Driver Station suddenly stopped connecting to roboRIO

I have done nothing except add a servo for a camera mount in the code before we tried to push it down today.

What's even more interesting is that it works fine on an older computer running the same versions of the NI projects.

Re: Driver Station suddenly stopped connecting to roboRIO

It sounds like your Windows firewall might be active. Make sure it's turned off.

Re: Driver Station suddenly stopped connecting to roboRIO

Second turning off the firewall, even if the driverstation is allowed to pass through it.

Re: Driver Station suddenly stopped connecting to roboRIO

I tried turning off the firewall completely, and the same thing happened.

I looked at the National Instruments USBLAN Adapter Properties on my laptop, and the problem status that it states is that "There are no compatible drivers available for this device". Is there anything I could do about this?
