I was re-watching the kickoff video, and it says, "There are more than 10,000 possible field configurations..." My questions is, how many are there exactly?
My calculation is as follows:
1*8*1*(6*4*2)^2 = 18432
(Low bar fixed)*(8 audience defenses)*(same audience defense on both sides)*(each team can place 6 possible defenses in position 2, 4 in position 4, and 2 possible in pos. 5).
Is this the correct calculation? I'm just interested if 18.5 thousand is the actual number.
