is the NeveRest 60 Gearmotor (am-3103) legal to use at stronghold season?

The NeveRest series is not listed in the allowable motors in the game manual, so it is not legal. My understanding is that the NeveRest motors are intended for the FIRST Tech Challenge, not the FIRST Robotics Competition.

A BAG motor at a 100:1 reduction is thoretically 131 RPM, NeveRest 60 is theoretically about 105 RPM. That's somewhat similar. Another possibility is using a CIM/miniCIM motor at a 50:1/55:1 reduction, respectively, which would get a very similar RPM. If you're looking to go a lot slower, but with a good amount of torque, the PG188 gearmotor from AndyMark would be a great option for that. As far as the manual goes those are illegal. I would recommend not using them on your main robot as they are illegal. If you are making a second bot for practice, I would use them on that robot.
