Scouting Software

Last year we used frcscout.com, but it hasn't (as of right now) been updated to this year's game, its still on recycle rush. Does anyone know if and when it will be updated, and if not, does anyone have a suggestion for a good, easy to use scouting software that is automatically synced between multiple devices, and preferably has regional and individual match details. Thanks in advance!

Huge thanks to teams 4030 and 1983 for making frcscout.com last year!

Re: Scouting Software

Thanks for you interest in the scouting app! Sadly, this year neither 1983 nor 4030 has had the time or student interest to continue the project (both students who worked on the project last year were seniors). However, we are looking for people to pick up the project, so if anybody on your team or someone you know would like to, please contact the support email for frcscout (contact@frcscout.com) and we would love to talk to you.

Re: Scouting Software

Check out Google Forms and Google Sheets. It might take a while to get it working how you want it to, but this program has worked great for 1501, allowing us to access and submit data from any device that is connect to the Internet. You will have to create your own formulas to get the information organizatized how you like though, so if you're looking for a way to scout that doesn't require any work to get set up then you might have to look for another option.

Re: Scouting Software

If you are still in need of a scouting app, 2052 KnightKrawler has one. FRC Krawler is not like most scouting apps where it's made for a specific season or year. Rather, the app is meant to be used for any season.

Main Advantages:
  1. You can add as many questions (or metrics) as you want. So you only collect the data you need.
  2. Bluetooth Data Transfer across devices
  3. Excel formatted exporting for easy data evaluation
  4. And more

There are currently 5 metrics
  1. Boolean (Yes or No)
  2. Counter ("+" and "-" with an increment for each press of a button)
  3. Slider (A seekbar in a range you provide)
  4. Chooser (A list that you choose one item from)
  5. Checkbox (A list of checkboxes)

Google Play Store
