Go to Post I never wanted to be a teacher. This was the year I learned that I am one. It turns out mentors are teachers. Oops. - marshall [more]

Length from Outerworks(defenses) to Mid/Auto Line

In the game manual it states that "The OUTER WORKS is an infinitely tall volume bordered by, but not including, ... and the bottom edges of the PLATFORM ramps. The OUTER WORKS is 7 ft. 2 in. from the midline." So then if it doesn't include the bottom edges of the Platform ramps, then you would just measure from the edge of the platform, right? Okay, saying that we are measuring from the edge of the platform to the midline should be 7 ft. 2 in. then. But in the CAD file that we got from FIRST if we measure from the edge of the platform to the midline it roughly measures 8 feet. If we were to measure from the edges of the platform ramps though, it would only be a couple inches short of that 7 ft. 2 inches. So either I am not fully understanding what the bottom edges of the platform ramps are or there is a difference between the CAD files and what the game manual says. And since we are unsure about this we do not know if we placed the auto line correctly since it is 12 inches from the midline. Which means that should be 6 ft. 2 in. from the edge of the platform. Are we measuring from the middle of the midline then, not the edge? Personally if this is the case then there should be an update of the game manual to further explain this. So to sum this all up: Where does the 7 ft. 2 in. measurement end and start.
I hope this makes sense and thank you to all who respond this post.
