APOLOGIES for the messy shop-area, I usually run a much tighter ship but we were _cranking_ to finish TWO twin bots _before_ Bag/Tag Day... a _first_ for us...

My question is one I have for all teams who have decided to go tall and that is, why?

This is a great looking bot! As always, the powder coating looks great (and the color is reminiscent of a certain Canadian team). My only question is why you have 4 pressure gauges on your robot! Really looking forward to seeing y'all in action at Alamo!

Thanks for the compliment on the powder coating!!

TWO gauges are live... TWO are in reserve for iteration as the season progresses... since we have a twin practice bot, and IF we make CHAMPS, we work as if we have a FOUR month build period where we utilize the withholding allowance to the max.

Our 2014 SkyShot had THREE different PSI segments in the pneumatics so we like to be prepared.

WHY tall? Well we gave you a hint at the middle and end of the video as to what we're up to... though not yet guaranteed to pay off... but here's a hint, what is better to achieve at the end of a match... an additional 15 points or within the _same_ time frame 20 points? Or maybe a stretch-goal, close to impossible, 25 points instead of 15?

Even if you had a climber at the ready would you use it for 15 or keep it stowed IF you could get 20 points (and continue contributing to bringing the flag down)?

We're trying some strategy, involves alliance partners, and a non-standard approach that may or may not pay off...

I saw the video last night and I really enjoyed it. I hope we continue to see more tall robots with style. However, I would think that more scenes of the robot moving would spark more discussion. We can't really see much more than a series of pictures. It's a amazing video archive of your season, but maybe not such a great "look at me and all the cool things i can do" type video.

Yeah, you're right but we weren't ready to show the bot in action yet for different reasons and we were considering just showing some static photos like other teams have done... but when students go to the trouble of putting together a video I'm inclined to use/share it as is.

We have an exact twin bot we're pounding the iteration drum on, it's not powder coated, and hopefully we'll post some in-action videos here right before Alamo Regional in 2 weeks.
