Re: Top Chairman's Award Teams in your State

For my Michigan list I would say the top Chairman's teams are
(27), 33, 68, 503, 1023, 2137

Out of the 4 years we have submitted Chairman's, not including 2016 because we have yet to compete. (2012-2015) We have won 3 Regional/District Chairman's and 1 at the State Championship.

Re: Top Chairman's Award Teams in your State

The great thing about the team growth in Michigan has been the growth in the quality of the Chairman's Award submissions.

Every year, this becomes more and more difficult for the judges as they have so many to select from.

Two quality teams in Michigan that deserve a shout-out: 2337 and 5053.

2337 The EngiNERDs are always out in the community. They understand and exemplify the value of working with others. They hosted one of the best district events in 2013 and are one of the secrets to the success for rookie teams in their hands-on rookie workshop held the day after kickoff. They do more than just help connect the components, they look at the strategy too. When teams ask us where to go to get started, we highly recommend to start with the EngiNERDS rookie workshops.

5053 Laker Robotics. They have a huge FLL and FTC program, with their FLL programs consistently progressing to the state tournaments. The FRC team qualified for MSC in their rookie year and qualified for Worlds in their sophomore year. Their students created this video after their rookie year - the end is very powerful. This team gets what FRC is all about.

There are many more great teams in Michigan and working together only makes us better.

See you at the competitions!

I would like to jump in here. FRC Team 2337 has been instrumental in our ability to win RCA two years in a row. If it wasn't for their inspiration and organization, I don't know where we would be today. I spoke to this specifically in their 2013 Chairmans Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WEZ...HoC5O6&index=2

I am honored to be a part of the Enginerd Family. I wear my 2337 Sweatshirt with pride and will always support their program. Julia is right when she talks about their commitment to help other FIRST Teams. I feel this is one of the most overlooked teams last year.

Some rising star teams in Michigan to look out for are the following:

Note: All teams who are not listed in no particular order

107 - TEAM Robotics
5114 - Titanium Tigers
5084 - Fridgebot
1506 - Metal Muscle
862 - Lightning Robotics
469 - Las Guerillas
573 - Mech Warriors
4967 - That One Team
1718 - The Fighting Pi
245 - The Adambots
226 - The Hammerheads
2834 - Bionic Blackhawks
2604 - Metal and Soul

(There are many many more and I apologize if I missed your team. You are in FIRST so you are already AWESOME)

These teams automatically stand out to me as teams with just a couple minor tweaks could be competing for a CCA.

I am honored to compete against these teams. They keep us on our toes every year to make sure we are continuing to be competitive. Every year, we know we gotta bring our A- Game

Re: Top Chairman's Award Teams in your State

Not from my state, but just 90 minutes away. How about some recognition for 2614 (MARS) from Morgantown, West Virginia?

2008- Rookie All Star Award and Regional Winner
2009- a pair of Innovation in Control Awards
2010- two more Innovation/Control Awards along with an Engineering Inspiration
2011- another Engineering Inspiration Award
2012- their first Regional Chairman's Award and a national Woodie Flowers Award
2013- three Entrepreneurship Awards and another Engineering Inspiration Award
2014- their second RCA
2015- their third RCA
2016- their fourth RCA (their 3rd in the past 3 seasons!)

*this is a partial list of awards. MARS is legit!
