Re: Technical Web Series Featuring FRC Team 3506

The first installment to the technical web series is here and features a 7 minute video focused around how to make really organic shapes for your robot using SOLIDWORKS where you snap a photo and import it into the software to finish your design:

The second installment posted just today was a live webinar and featured some techniques such as making a robot frame in 5 minutes, assembling components to a ball shooter with opposite hand parts, and making sure your assemblies do not hit each other on the final robot. The recording for this one is about 25 minutes and can be viewed here and contains some very valuable hints for new CAD users and robot designers:
