Meet BB-4118!

Hi, everyone! Meet the Roaring Riptide (4118)'s newest bot, BB-4118! The team had some fun by placing a 3D-printed BB-8 head over the boulder chamber to make it look like BB-8 was riding along in the robot.

Unfortunately the head is not low bar compatible, so we probably will never have it on during a match. We'll have it on in the pits between matches. If you're coming to Orlando, come check it out.

Here's a more serious reveal video. The robot can get over all of the defenses minus the portcullis, and can shoot in the high and low goal.

Re: Meet BB-4118!

Just to clarify, this robot does not cross the C Category defenses from the neutral zone. We use the Tap Technique of crossing from the courtyard, momentarily losing contact with the obstacle while the door is open, then driving through from the neutral zone.

Have you tried this on the actual category C defenses? The actual ones react differently than the wooden ones.
