PNW West Valley

1) 5920 4061 4120 (F)
2) 2147 5450 4082 4495 (W)
3) 4726 4980 2148 (SF)
4) 2944 1595 3712(SF)
5) 4513 4125 2149 (QF)
6) 6129 3220 2923 (QF)
7) 4692 4608 4132 (QF)
8) 3221 2926 5942 (QF)

5970, VIKbotics, went 11-1 in their quals, best at the event if you are wondering.

4082, Ranching Robots, broke in the 1st QF, and 4495, the Tigers, really stepped up as a backup, helping them clench the win.

No Declines.

Pretty much everything that could go wrong went wrong in the QF for us. We got ran over by our teammate and it hit one of our pipes and so we couldn't scale, we had our first auto failure and got caught under the low bar, we couldn't cycle balls fast enough, 3882's aiming cam broke in the second round... so much went wrong for us.

Actually coming from being on #8 alliance this is my view. We were pretty much equal breacher to the rookie all star #1 ranked bot but way more versatile. We were partnered with a very efficient speedy crossing LG capable captain and an excellent HG shooter..we can pop in low goals and feed bots plus scale. We were the most well rounded bot in the eliminations and we had an awesome HG shooter and Awesome LG shooter by choice...that is a very tough combo to beat as your #1 alliance found out.

Had our shooter not jammed in SF the results would have been different there too. We had stuck issue in QF too but manage to overcome and the scale well that's two more HG's.

Alliance 1 was flawed (no disrespect at all) due to the fact the captain was "only" an awesome rookie breacher and you had no reliable HG shooters besides 3882 or scalers..that is why you lost. Just sayin'

You put both of our alliances on the field with no mechanical issues an we still will beat you most games due to the higher scoring ceiling of our alliance make-up.

In a perfect game for each alliance

Both teams breach+10.... both teams ferry balls to accurate shooters , both teams capture. BUT we scale.

3882 similar to our reliable HG 812 in the playoffs but 812 got fed more (I don't think 812 missed)
We were similar to the #1 seed and can shoot LG and/or feed and scale= 2 HG
Your were not as efficient as out alliance captain who could pop in LGs' consistently

Do the math and you will see I am correct, its no mystery why we won 2-0 if you compare bot for bot. We each had mechanical challenges.

Believe 3882 was on my HG pick list if we were alliance captain I think (as I told their team earlier) I had 3882 at 1 and agency at 2 and 812 at 3/4 with warlords

The real reason the #8 alliance won is we were ranked artificially low because we did not get credited for two RP in quals we should have been ranked about 11 instead of 19 so alliance 8 essentially got a #7-8ish captain level first choice by me talking to them them ahead of time and telling them they needed to pick us to have their best chance of going to St Louis at pick 8 and with the very next pic an awesome HG shooter my scouts identified..it worked beautifully.

That's the real reason why 8 beat 1 in two games. Comes down to us losing 2 RP making us available to alliance 8 why #1 lost in two straight games decisively which seems to never happen. 8 is not supposed to beat 1...the reason is RP's were not scored correctly skewing some rankings down and others artificially up. That is why top seeds got beat bad scoring in qualifications for some teams.

Hope week 2 goes better in terms of our shooter reliability/hardening and field crew accurate scoring to not skew rankings. I want us to be a captain in an amazingly tough world class field (that has not played yet) 812 and us have lots of practice and SF playoff experience and plans to compete ultra strong in CV from match 1 on. 585 should also improve also having a regional under their belt .Will be interesting in CV with the teams from SD coming to town. Bring it on can't wait to see what CV teams cooked up, I expect the best from many teams there.
