what happened to ROCKVILLE CENTER?

my mother works in blood drives and today she was at rockville center high school. she heard from a member of their former robotics team that this year they were not allowed to have a team. when this student asked carl place if he could join their team, they said he could with permission from his school. his school would not give any such permission. does any one know what the story is and why rockville center is so stermly against having a robotics team? i am trying to learn as much as i can so i can approach rockville center school board and petition the reinstitution of the rockville center team. any information will help, even their team number would help me. if you know any one i could talk to who might know someone from rockville center, that would be helpful too. if rockville center does not have a registered team for 2004, then i will have failed in my mission. please help.

whether you remember or not, they DID have a team and now they DON'T. thats why im trying to find all this out and help get their team back in the competition.
