Your low bar looks out of spec. Issues with the conversion to metric?

All joking aside, looks like a fantastic robot (and very pretty too!). Hope to check this one out in person in St. Louis.

Out of curiosity, what's the fabric you're using for your bumpers? It looks interesting.

Re: Team Rembrandts 4481 - De Ruyter

Nice design!

I've noticed a few teams have put the frame flanges on the outside of the bot. What motivated you to do this (shorter drive shaft?).

How is it working out?
Did it cause any additional challenges?

Also, how are you attaching the carbon to the sheet metal?

First of thank you for the compliment.

The flanges are put outward so the weels can be removed easier. The chain guard is smaller this way and the weels cant get stuck behind the flanges when taking then out. Asside from that the chain has no way of getting stuck behind a flange.

The carbon is glued to the aluminum using a two component epoxy glue. The glue can take up to 10 N/mm^2 when hardend so there is no way that is comming off.

If you have any other questions please let me know!

The only thing that could make this robot prettier is orange weave carbon fiber

This robot is impressive online, but even more in person. Hope 4481 has a good time in NYC this weekend.

Re: Team Rembrandts 4481 - De Ruyter

After seeing you guys in action over this past weekend in New York I just wanted to add that this machine is NOT just a pretty face. They played very well and had a great strategy.

Also not only is your machine well designed and put together but the presentation of your entire team including your pit area wasa very professional.

Thank you for competing, it was great seeing you.
