WCP 0917 Hall Effect Sensor

I been looking at this board for a possible solution to home/reset an encoder position. Trouble I'm having is how to orientate the magnet to the board. I have found no installation instructions on the proper set up.

Where and how should the magnet cross the board?
Can I run this to a DIO pin on the RoboRio or do I need the WCP Spartan Sensor Board?

I'll let Austin answer the first two questions,

but our team uses these in a few places. Basically you treat it like a limit switch and can plug it into any DIO port. As the magnet crosses the black square in the CAD file it triggers. We sell a .5" diameter magnet but you can basically use any magnet you want.

Hope that helps
