For people who want to know, I'm going to take all the pictures in the CD gallery and dump them into folders by the uploader's team #. I'll size some down in the process to prevent a huge file.

I'll do this sometime this weekend, and will upload a zip of them on like Sunday.

(I'll be doing this on a per division basis)

Jack

PS: Don't worry brandon... I'll wait till 1 AM to grab all the pics

Team 147 Deep Thunder

Team: 147

Team Name: Deep Thunder

Second seed at University of Central Florida and
on 1st Alliance. Made it into semi-finals.

Pros: Lots of speed and torque, big wheels, high/low gear. Multiple autonomous modes. Knock down arm gets to 4/5 stacks in 4.5 seconds in autonomous mode. Can go under rail. We have a stacker configuration that we can add on, but haven't used much. We alternate two field teams (5 students and 2 coaches). Each team is capable of running all aspects of robot.

Cons: We can get hung up if we run over a robot on the top, but we are working on that.

MichalSkiba will become famous soon enough
Team Number: 854
Team Name: Martingrove Institute of Robotics (M.I.R.)

Pros:
We can stack 5+ high, knock down stacks, swinging punmatic arms that can effectivly get stacks/boxes out of corners and knock down other stacks even with robots in the way, good gear ratios for a good balance of speed and torque, experianced, comitent, and rational drivers (4 years experiance), wheel chair drive can get us out of corners, we fit under the 14 3/4 inch bar, wheels have VERY good grip on carpet and HDPE

Cons:
Questionable electronics (the connections that is), aluminum arms as oppose to steel, autonomous mode needs work, but then again we have a 30+ hour bus ride to houston from toronto so someone will end up doing a good job out of boredom.

Awards:
Delphi's Driving Tomorrow's Technology Award winner at the Canadian regional.
Esthetically pleasing "Warwagon" Awards from teams 48 and 378 at the Canadian regional.

More info:

Good luck to all Archimedes teams!

The Flashbacks

Pros: Good balance of speed and torque with excellent traction both on HDPE and on carpet, Large suction cup that keeps us on ramp (in a practice match at UCF, aces high spent 30 seconds of constantly pushing against us, and they couldn't push us off the ramp). Auton takes out 2-3 rows of boxes in 5-6 secs. Can fit under bar.

Cons: Drivetrain was not very reliable at UCF, but we have new improved gearboxes that should solve all driveability problems. Our auton mode does not always work right.

Awards: UCF winning alliance

Team 226
TEC CReW Hammerheads

Pros: Tank Drive on the fly shifting tank. Blue Supergrip Brekoflex treads. Drive = CIM + Drill on each side. Very, very fast in high (actual 9+ ft/sec can jump the plastic top) Very powerful in low (2 ft/sec) Robust - No failures at GLR in any system. Can stack 4+ holds 4 in the cage. 110 lbs in the base one of the lowest CG stackers out there. Diamond plated armor. Reliable auton about 4 sec to the top. Hilarious Shark mascot that loves to dance! Calm Driver and quick thinking coach.

Cons: Having some difficulty with turning in high due to new treads, will make mods in Houston to compensate (Solid center belts are 2x strong but fit tighter in the pulleys. Can only stack bins that are right side up. No ability to self right, but haven't needed it. Can not go under the bar in stacker configuration. Inability to take out more than 3 stacks in auton.

Awards
Semi-Finalist at Buckeye
Champions at GreatLakes (w/302! and 67!)

Pros: reliability, good autonomous programming, 7 1/2' wingspan, can go under the bar, two speed, shift on the fly 2 wheel/4 wheel drive, can right boxes from any posistion and build a three stack, can carry two boxes in our gripper, we can right ourselves with our arm, low CoG, can go under the bar, very very powerful, great traction on all surfaces thanks to our wheels, easy to work with due to several autonomous programs and experienced drive team, fast uner the bar autonomous mode for thrashers.

Cons: autonomous wall bust isn't fast, but we still push most bots back up the ramp along with the bins they brought, not shift on the fly transmission

2003 Awards: see signature

other doodads: cool bobble light, gum rubber tires, and if anyone needs anything stop by our pits.

Yah I remember us getting pancaked by 547 when they knocked the whole stack on top of us.

Our bot:No pictures really, very low Under 14", wingspan allows it to be able to go under limbo bar with wings out, wings can be variable lengths, good combo of speed/power, REALLY big tires, pimpin' body work, an obvious and visable secret, and a non-visable and hard to detirmine secret.
cons:ummm.... not the fastest, not the most powerful, if it really matters we can't stack, our human player is not a 7ft. tall basket ball player.
