Re: Alamo 2016
Andrew,
Thanks for putting the Blarglefish in the wild card group. We hope to earn our keep at Alamo! We have plenty of work to do on our competition robot on Thursday. However, if we can get firing on all cylinders, we'll be Blargling down some defense and tossing some boulders on Saturday afternoon! ....We'll also be bringing some of that good ole Blarglefish Imagery to Alamo once again Jim Quote:

How could I forget? Y'all breezed through the defenses at Anderson. Can't wait to breach with y'all!

Re: Alamo 2016
2468 had a great time at Alamo with old friends and many new faces this year. We would like to express our thanks to the Regional Planning Committee and all volunteers who made this a special event. It can't be easy to put on the world's biggest regional along FTC Super Regional, Alamo Regional FLL and Junior FLL tournament all in one building over fours days. The Air Force Fighter Jet in the venue was amazing.
We had a blast hosting the three teams from China who attended: FRC 5445 "Rushing Peacock", FRC 5838 "Mitochondria" and FRC 6018 "Wuhan Rayson School". We "Appreciate" our elimination partners: FRC Teams 4063 "TriKzR4Kidz", 5572 "ROSBOTS", and our back up 4627 "Manning Robotics". We came so very, very close to an upset. Congratulations go to the teams advancing to CMP, including: the winning alliance of FRC Teams 148, 231, and 5726, the wildcard recipient 3005, the RAS winners 6025, EI winners 2881, and most of all RCA winners 1477! Also shout to Mr. Rip for pulling the trailer to Utah for Torque and Appreciate. |

Re: Alamo 2016
The Blarglefish were honored to win the Alamo Imagery Award. Fun was had by all! We improved our robot all weekend long. Thank you to The AllSparks for picking us (as well as The Grease Monkeys). The Blarglefish were happy to swim with you!
We'll see you all at Lone Star! Jim |

Re: Alamo 2016
FRC3005, The RoboChargers, are ecstatic that we will finally be able to bring our students to the World Championships, and we are hopeful the event inspires them to continue to push the the team forward. Our message to our students has been that the great teams we admire are not lucky, they are consistent and process driven. This year, our students were able to deliver a simple but effective robot, a practice bot, a lot of driver practice, and enough knowledge to keep it running throughout qualification matches.
We are humbled to have ended up high enough in the rankings to be both considered for picking and able to pick teams we have admired for years. We were thrilled to work with FRC624, CRyptonite, as they dialed in their shooter prior to elims and led us to a 161 point score, as well as 3679, rattlers, whose aggressive defense helped give us an edge in a nail-biting semifinals series. Congratulations to the winning alliance of 148, 231, and 5726, as well as a host of other friends at the event. We look forward to seeing many of you at Dallas, as well as the Champs in April. |
