So much of DDR is about finding patterns. It's all math.

After awhile, when you get used to picking up the rhythm and pattern of the songs and the arrows, you don't even need to pay attention to the screen anymore.

The only thing I watch for are the changes. Most songs have reasonably good flow and they're really, really easy to pick up and just run with.
