Re: pic: What's wrong with this score?
Did the power go out on match 62 and corrupt the match data?

HMMM unless you meant that they just passed their bumper over the divider.... thereby losing the crossing score. There would be many options using this scenario actually if it were done a number of times. Last edited by Bob Steele : 16-03-2016 at 17:58. |

Re: pic: What's wrong with this score?
If this year's rules about needing all the robots on the batter were like last year's autonomous rules, then you could theoretically get a capture with just one robot--if it were the only one to show up. You can get a "reach" in autonomous even if you start from the courtyard side (the manual just says one bumper has to be in the outer works), so the whole thing could be done by one lonely red robot starting as a spybot, driving up to one defense in auto, then spending the entire match in the courtyard shooting boulders before hanging. Unfortunately it looks like you actually do need all three robots on the field for a capture though.

Re: pic: What's wrong with this score?
Since everyone is wondering... This was really the 3rd attempt (of 4) to play Q62. 3937 knocked out the moat the first 2 tries, and actually did on the 3rd but not enough to notice, and everyone was tired of resetting their robots. For whatever reason with the FMS we weren't able to do auto in try 3 (crossed both times previously). The ref in charge of the blue defenses (red crossing) failed to credit all but a couple crossings... We crossed the low bar 3 times, moat 4, cheval 3, etc. Basically we didn't know what was gone because none of the lights were going out. Yes we fully crossed. There was also an issue with the field or something because one of the Blue Alliance driver station team numbers was flickering the entire time. Red was crossing extra defenses not knowing what was destroyed and Blue eased up thinking they were way ahead.
We replayed in the morning and you can see the posted outcome. Unfortunate but we should have been consistent enough for it not to matter. Congrats Blue Alliance. |
