There is a story behind that match. Our intake had crumpled due to a quarter finals robot bashing us, the lightening pattern compromised the tubing. In the QF match before our shooter was taken off line by the same robot. This left us with just a drive train. We knew we would loose so we decided to have some fun with it. If it worked we would have been surprised.

PS. I forgot the duck tape.

I believe in intuition and inspiration. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research.

I was actually curious about that story. I was thinking to myself, ok, maybe they were trying to make a blocker? Was really confused.

It was an attempt at a blocker. Still do not know where that steel shelf came from. Working hard to fix all the parts of our robot.

Can you please stop harping on 5817's hard shot? A hard shot is only a component of what could make a robot good.

Hi Dunngeon,

I actually think that Boltman is speaking highly of 5817's shot. I haven't personally seen it but from what I've read from Boltman it sounds like they have a fast moving and accurate shot!

Can't believe they're just a rookie team pulling off everything that they have. Anyone know if they have any experienced mentors?

Best Regards,
RM

Its deadly accurate and hardest shot I every witnessed they are dangerous in the worlds "if not broken", great young team with a bunch of mentors from existing established teams... I wish them the best. they clocked it at 75MPH. They have swerve too. If they don't break down I see them rising high in any division they are in. Very hard to block.

If only your event was more prominently highlighted in Looking Forward at the beginning of the week, maybe you could've placed higher in these rankings!

I don't think getting carried through CVR counts as top 40 worthy, otherwise 1323 would have been #1 in 2015.

Re: [FUN] FRC Top 40 Week 2 and Rant About Replays

I have received a couple requests to display the entire list of voting for the polls. I just wanted to clarify that we will not be releasing the entire poll and are happy to show who was in the Top 40 instead of just the Top 25. If you would like to know where your team landed, please either post or send me a PM and I am happy to let you know.
