Re: Team 5209: Rectify - Tinker Tie Betas now on sale!
Looks like a small lithium ion soft pack, 3.7v around 1000-800mah. These are lipo so please take caution. They will burn you quite nicely if they vent due to a short or overcurrent.

Not exactly something I want to hear about something I'd put around my neck...still though, sounds like a cool project.

Re: Team 5209: Rectify - Tinker Tie Betas now on sale!
The batteries we use are 500 mAh LiPoly batteries with circuit protection (to protect the battery in the event of a short). They are commonly used for wearable electronics purposes. At about half brightness, we've found they can power a Tinker Tie for up to 20 hours of continuous use.

I also forgot to mention, we've entered our project on Hackaday.io for their 2016 Hackaday Prize. If anyone would like to follow or like our project here it would help us out a lot!
