Re: Wave Robotics Team 2826: Quickstrke
-1 for lack of bench grinder.
-1 for lack of LEDs. -1 for lack of powdercoat. Oh, and you're too short. You're like the Rudy of FIRST Stronghold. What advantage do you think that gives you, anyways? Looking forward to finally seeing you in action this weekend, guys. I'll enjoy watching you prove me wrong. Seriously, guys. Looking good. Wish we could be up there competing with you again, but the scheduling gods hate us, apparently. Maybe next year we'll be able to make the return to Milwaukee. Here's hoping. Good luck this weekend! Re: Wave Robotics Team 2826: Quickstrke
Looks very well packaged. Can you talk about how your scaler works a bit? Besides it looking like a winch powered system, I got nuthin'.
Best of luck this year! |

Re: Wave Robotics Team 2826: Quickstrke
Current set up is the hooks are held back by pneumatic cylinders (not on at time of picture) when the cylinders retract the claws shoot up (via tensioned surgical tubing) and grab the side bars, winch then pulls us up.

Re: Wave Robotics Team 2826: Quickstrke
They're spring loaded and once they clear the arm they spring vertical.

It would seem as though you are correct.

Re: Wave Robotics Team 2826: Quickstrke
Ok, the green cord is meant to extend the hanging arm or retract? i can't figure out how it could do both. Can you explain? I'd love to see this thing in action. If I head down to STL for champs I'm going to find your pit.

Quote:
So scaling sequence. Drive onto batter Lift arm Release hooks Winch up. If we make it to St. Louis we have a different scaling mechanism designed. The hooks will most likely be the same, our winch system will just be different. |
