Man I can't believe 2791 didn't get ranked. They had one quarterfinal match where they were absolutely on fire. I think they put up 8 high goals in that match, including auto. It was ridiculous. An unfortunate drivetrain malfunction took them out in semifinals, but I guarantee they'll have that repaired by FLR this weekend.
If I may- where did 2791 end up falling on both lists? Also, where was 20 on the expert list? Thank you for doing these shows, it definitely makes an impact when the kids see that the work they put in hasn't gone unnoticed. |

Sad that 48 didn't make it either. They had a pretty sick transformer that performed reasonably well too.

How are these voted on? Is it simply a popularity contest or is there data behind these ranks?

Combination of the two, ish. 50% of the ranking is community vote, 50% is ranking based on unknown "expert panel" ranking.

Re: Week 3 FRC Top 25(40) Results and Show Link
I would believe that the answer is yes to both. Teams who are positioned well in the minds of the voters both community and 'expert' will typically do better. We do not mandate what data anyone has to use but I would infer that there are objective factors involved.
