There are a lot of good programs in the region, especially when we get to know the context of what is happening behind the scenes on a given team by actually listening to their stories. We too feel honored to be long-time friends with GaCo and the RoboBees. We look forward to seeing you guys at DCMPS! Edit - BY THE WAY Doswell needs more refs. If you want to ref, know the rules and feel you can pass the ref test, contact Sally and she'll put you in touch with Janet. If there aren't any 'extra' refs for the current refs to rotate out, expect a few missed calls/etc to really upset teams. This game doesn't get any easier to ref just because it's later in the season. Last edited by JesseK : 24-03-2016 at 09:05. |

Re: referees, we are all new to the district system and 422 is also in a position where we are graduating alumni who want to come back and work with the program in certain significant ways as a volunteer. When we got an email for Blacksburg, we had a couple people hop in the fray. It might sound backwards but dropping a line to coaches as soon as possible on specific needs can help all of us throw some names out. People who have never volunteered are not in the VIMS database, but they are in my address book! |

My statistical analysis has the total points needed to make st Louis at around 132, but the margin of error is larger than I'd like it to be. Did anyone else try to find this?

Re: CHS Platter - Week Four - Cheesy Centers
does that include the tripling of points at DCMP? If so, that would mean that some are already at the magic number.

Re: CHS Platter - Week Four - Cheesy Centers
My first rough cut at it was 140, but really need to see what the final scores look like after this weekend. Should be able to get a better idea once we see the final list of who is going to District Champs and their cumulative scores.

Re: CHS Platter - Week Four - Cheesy Centers
1389 is going all high goal all the time. The goal will be 4 high goals per match by the end of qualifiers. Our hanger is not ready yet, so you should expect to see that in 3 weeks at the dist champs.

Re: CHS Platter - Week Four - Cheesy Centers
Yes it accounts for that, the fact that winners automatically qualify, the distribution of heavyweight chairman's teams projected in the top 22, the distribution of EI teams in the top 22, and the fact that one or two teams will probably decline the invitation. I would hold off on calling anything a magic number until after week four.

Re: CHS Platter - Week Four - Cheesy Centers
The St. Louis Magic Number for MAR last year was around 130, with a similar number of teams and a similarly sized DCMP. The DCMP number was 68, but I think it will be lower in Chesapeake due to the slightly more top-heavy nature of the district.

How many from Cheaspeake District Championship advance to St. Louis Championship is it round the 20 to 25 teams?

Re: CHS Platter - Week Four - Cheesy Centers
The Central Maryland District event held at South River High School has been phenomenal. The matches were ahead of schedule, the sound system is great, the venue is the perfect size, with the exception of how hot it is, everything has been fantastic.
There are some particular groups that I would like to give a HUGE shout out to.... The Field Reset Crew, Match Que'ers, FTA's and all of the volunteers, amazing job, on schedule or ahead of schedule all day, amazing!! The Referees, unreal job, Mr. Shade has his team on point, and he never ceases to amaze me. I was more than relieved to see his crew running this event!! I commend you and your team!! Here's to another amazing day tomorrow!! |

2 of your 3 to watch pushed the winners to 3 matches in the Semis. We had a great time in Doswell, alliance selections went well, and made for a very interesting Saturday afternoon. Thanks to 1086 and 3359 for playing with us. Looking forward to seeing everyone in College Park. Last edited by JamesBrown : 29-03-2016 at 08:51. |
