Same to You

Thanks for that nice message. It was our pleasure at 696 to play with you team and to be picked by you. We had some bad luck in the qualifing rounds and we appreciate being judged for our actual performance.

Those were some sweet matches that we played. That was a real suspensful situation when we had to wait for the score. WOW!

Also, thanks to BCR. You guys are cool and are a strong example of how a veteran FIRST team should be. We often use you as an example.

WHAT DID YOU ALL THINK OF OUR ROBOT, "HEATHER"?

Thrilled to see West Covina do so well in Phoenix and in LA.

We were so grateful you guys picked us. Great times, awesome unbelievable roller coaster matches.

BTW, our press photographer took multitudes of pictures of that suspense, closeup pics of the robots on the field waiting for decisions. He said something like, "So people will KNOW what happened!" Our match helped seal the excitement that "subcontractor" couple of press people were introduced to yesterday (they take pics and do a story to submit to a variety of papers). They'll be sharing all their pics with us, and us with you. I'm sure they'll be spending next year's Saturday afternoon with our regional again.

Our student webmaster took pic

Here's judges' inspecting

Heather was SO exciting to watch. You're a great team. Loved having you guys at our facility, Lucy's terrific.

All of you are an inspiration!

And after the last match Dave Lavery was up on the ramp, bent over and picked something up and said "Kingman, I found a piece of your robot." That was great. Kingman really took a pounding that match and we all were at the highest levels of compeition. Besides the points in the end, I call the LA regional a draw.

I'm glad you got the nice surprise. Your team really desrved it. We felt bad for your rather low seed in Phoenix and you really have a great team. Also, thanks for letting us use your facility earlier in the season.n And a special thanks to Mark Miller for programming help and just being a real nice guy.
