Replacement Pinions for 15T 32DP Pinion from Andy Mark

Hello FRC Community,

Just wanted to share some potentially helpful information.

For our shooter gearbox we currently run two 775 pros into a custom gearbox using the 60T 32DP steel Andy Mark gear for our bull gear am-0927. For pinions we have been using the 15T 32DP steel pinions from Andy Mark am-0896. For anyone who recently has been looking to buy spares or maybe make a gearbox redesign you have learned that Andy Mark is out until late April. That being said I located a supplier who sells a high strength carbon steel replacement with the exact same specs minus the shaft hole diameter i.e., 15T, 32DP, 0.46875" pitch diameter (called the manufacturer to confirm this). The shaft hole is 5mm which is fine for 775 model motor as you need to drill to press fit on a 0.25" shaft.

Isn't the 775PRO already a 5mm shaft?

Correct! My mistake, we have been drilling the AM pinions to press on .196" or 5mm shaft. Was crossing the press fit dimensions of our output shaft on our gearbox to mate with gearbox pulley.
