Re: Montreal Webcast ... in French?

Montreal has been a blast so far! Being here (and not someone who speaks any French) has been quite interesting. Almost all of the teams have someone who speaks at least limited English though, which has been a life saver for me, and most, if not all, of the key volunteers are at least bilingual, including the MC/GA. It's amazing to hear them switch so effortlessly between French and English, and it's been a blast to watch all of the things I know in English show up in French. If you watch longer, you will see the MC and GA switch. There are at least three different languages(French, English and Spanish) and 3 different countries represented by teams(Canada, France, and Mexico), and at least one American volunteer(me)! I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings from the teams here in Montreal!

Re: Montreal Webcast ... in French?

It is indeed a first to have FIRST permission to translate game screens in French this year, at least in a pilot model.
This year's game screens have so much wordly information, and the need to interact with the audience justified the effort.

We have had great appreciation of this by local sponsors, visitors and teams. Since the format basically didn't change, non-french speaking participants were able to understand all the results; AND our emmcee and Game announcer made a great job at sharing everything in French and English!

Our international friends may consider this option in the future!
