2016 Las Vegas Regional

I would just like to thank all the officials and volunteers that made the Vegas regional a great one! I loved it and I think my team agrees! A great thanks to team 987 for selecting us for the final matches. It was great being on the same team along with team 3965! Maybe we will get another chance to be on the same alliance at Championships. Here's to being in the same division and making it to Einstein! Thanks everybody! We will be back next year!

As always, 5012 had a great time at Las Vegas! The new venue at the convention center was great. Thanks to the planning committee for making Vegas one of the best run events that I've ever attended. Shouts out to all of the teams who made this a truly diverse and competitive event.

Special thanks to teams 5851 and 5049 for joining us on the #4 alliance. This was the first time we've ever captained an alliance and we couldn't have asked for better partners to join us on this journey. 5851 - you guys have a great high goal shooter that we've had our eyes on since Los Angeles. Our scouts were shocked to see you last so long in the draft at LA, and we were ecstatic to be able to play with you this weekend. 5049 - We've been pit neighbors at Vegas three years running. It's been awesome to see you grow as a team and improve the quality of your robots. Thanks to both of you for a fun trip to the semifinals. It was exciting to see our alliance bring the tower down to -5 strength!

Thanks and congratulations to our friends on team 987 for their regional win and well deserved chairman's award! 987 is one of the nicest teams you will ever meet. We definitely look up to them and their program.

Thanks to team 842 for taking the time to explain your scaling mechanism to a few of our students. It's super simple and fun to watch! Can't wait to see how well you do at champs!
