Re: PCH District: Kennesaw Predictions
Could even be a bit lower than that, but 44 is a pretty good number by my thinking.

Re: PCH District: Kennesaw Predictions
Also, if your team is right on the bubble, don't fret- there will be a few teams in the top 40 that can't go due to cost, scheduling, hotels, etc. Keep an ear to the phone- I remember in 2014, The Robo-Rebels, Team 1153, got their invitation to New England Championships less than twelve hours before load-in. They then went on to seed 2nd, although they unfortunately suffered a quarterfinal exit. Kennesaw is shaping up to a wicked awesome event: Dalton was an incredible experience and I can't wait to see those teams again and meet all the ones who were at Albany or Columbus!

Re: PCH District: Kennesaw Predictions
Our robot will spend the weekend in the bag, but I will be there inspecting. Looking forward to seeing some great matches. Wear comfy shoes. carpet will not be as bouncy as Columbus.
My WAG for the bubble is the mid 40s. |

Re: PCH District: Kennesaw Predictions
We are sitting at 45 district points, I have run multiple scenarios projecting teams and 42-48 seems about where the cutoff might be. Hoping we get in to Athens will be watching close. Good luck to all those competing in Kennesaw.

While I can't pull for other teams to do poorly, I am pulling for you to make it to district champs...

Re: PCH District: Kennesaw Predictions
Kindof disappointing that the webcast wasn't done the same as all the other events through the GA FIRST YouTube. No match video to review unless I could record it myself.

Re: PCH District: Kennesaw Predictions
We're having a really good time at Kennesaw, so far.
Despite a couple (mechanical, programming, and basically everything else) hiccups, things are going at least marginally smoothly. If there wasn't that rush to get it fixed because you're queuing next and a Talon just decided to up and die, the competition wouldn't be any fun, would it? |

Re: PCH District: Kennesaw Predictions
Team 1261 had a great time, and would like to thank all the volunteers who made the event possible, and everyone who made the practice field possible. We think having the practice field was one of the reasons teams were performing so well in matches, it definitely helped us in tuning our vision tracking during the event. The level of competition was no doubt the highest we have seen throughout all the events (We definitely had our share of challenging matches), which makes us excited to see how the state championship will play out.
Also, thanks to team 1746 Otto, for selecting us, and 5812 Drewbotics for quickly and effectively adapting to our changing strategies as we went through eliminations. Congrats to the Chairman's, EI, and Rookie All Star winners, 1311 Kell, 4468 Fernbank Links (VN), and 5900 The Fighting Mongooses. Along with those, shoutout to all the teams in elims, they were all intense and exciting matches, and everyone played well. Finally, congrats to all teams who qualified for the state championship, we are excited and will see you all in 3 days. |
