Radisson Astrodome

I've got bad news for the radisson astrodome occupants. We stayed at the radisson for the lone star regional this weekend. To start out with, the hot tub was out of service. It had a nice waterfall grotto but the hot water pump is out of service and the part is on order. Not to mention the hot tub water was a mucky yellowish color. I think the hot water pump may cause the second problem with the freezing cold water in their to pools. It was 80 degrees all weekend but yet the pools were frigid. Because we insisted on swimming we resorted to taking an arctic plunge into the pool and then quickly retreating to the sauna and repeating. And don't worry about the sauna's rules, my favorite being: Remove all clothing and jewelry and cover loosely with towel before entering the sauna.

Maybe part of the reason I was dissapointed in my room was it was in the last building of the complex and that one of my roommates placed the do not disturb sign on our door the whole time and stained our bathtub pink. If you have room number 6129 check for the pink tub. I hope these problem are fixed before wednesday because we might end up their again. It is really close to the reliant park and can be fun because the hotel is large. I just hope we can talk our mentor out of the 9:00 o'clock curfew to be in our rooms we had.

Good luck at nationals and I hope you have your grotto hot tub.

Wow you had a nine oclock curfew?! That is getting back to the hotel pretty early. Are curfew is 11, but we have like a 2 hour strategy meeting everynight so we dont get back to the hotel till 11 or latta. I wish i could be back in are rooms by nine because waking up early and going to bed late is hard on the body. on top of that i am the driver so we need are rest. At ucf we worked off between 2-4 hours of sleep a night going to bed at like 2 am do to strategy meetings and all the crap and having to wake up at 6 am

The Miracle Workerz of MOE will be at the Radisson, and I hope we will have better luck with the pools. I love swimming and I would be disappointed if I could not. Does anyone know if there are any hotels in the immediate viscinity of the Radisson? That would be cool if we could get an even larger group of teams together to have fun at night.

We had a 11 clock curfew technically. Did it ever happen? No not really.

It seems like a lot of teams are staying at the Radisson.

781 will be at the Radisson. And it's funny how 639 had an 11 curfew. We had to smuggle them back up to their floor in the Canadian Regional.

Are mentors rule with an iron fist. How else did a rookie team win the regional competition, motorola quality award, team spirit award and rookie all-star award at Lone Star?

We did break the nine o'clock curfew, but our crafty mentors had their eye on us. Nothing like a team meeting at 11:00 because we let a girl sneak in our room after curfew to play cards. The worst part is we were on the bottom floor with doors that open to the outside and they still caught us. We are working to get a 11:00 curfew so we can at least go swim more. The water is cold but it is a rush. I think team 1108 will be at the radisson again, please fix the hot tub.

See nelson, I make things more intesting, not only did the pink hair bring a lot of attention to me and the teams, but it offered a nice little story about the pink bathtub/counter/bathroom floor/hairdryer/coffee maker/towels/ears/more towels/pillows/uniforms/whatever i haven't seen yet. Sure, we could look at it as a broken hot tub, but we would've missed the pool to sona runs, and vice versa, and would you want that. and I put that "do not disturb" sign out there for a reason, those stupid kids were noisy. and sure, sneaking jennifer into our room wasn't the smartest thing to do, but it made for good laughs after the dust was settled. Not to mention the armidillo and various other things we did to you and others while you guys slept. All and all, I think I made the off-time at the tournament more fun, and just wait for next time, i'll make sure to keep things fun again. all and all, i contribute my pink hair to helping us win everything, by keeping us loose (j/king of course)

Oh, it's okay, he cut off all his pink hair. Too bad. It made him really visible in a large crowd. We are back at the radisson so we'll see you there. I love my town, $11,000 in two days.

Thumbs up

oh yeah, 71's gonna be there and be REALLY LOUD! ....as long as i get my voice back. but if not, music and dancing all night! we have a midnight curfew... but that's subject to change if we misbehave again... like at west michigan... some of our guys didn't know how to tell time and missed curfew, and made us late cuz they overslept... and rearranged their rooms... but, well, it'll still be fun!!!
