5813 is a member of this club. We have successfully performed this auto mode in a number of matches at both WPI and UNH.

Re: Cheval auto club!

Code Red Robotics, 2771, did a Cheval auto with high goal shot at the Ann Arbor District this weekend. It had never been tested on a real field, so we were pretty excited to see it cross AND make the shot.
Here's the video shot by our team photographer.

We used our high goal shooting autonomous routines over the CDF, Portcullis, Rock Wall, Rough Terrain, and Ramparts in competition, as shown in this montage from UNH. We haven't yet completed auto in competition over the Moat or under the Low Bar, but we are capable of both. Category C defenses are a no-go. :-)
Your autonomous modes are a thing of beauty... and an inspiration to us all. We are working on expanding our options a bit, hoping to come close to your flexibility.

Re: Cheval auto club!

OK 2046 has done their CDF + High goal auto numerous times now, but this one from last weekend was just plain fun to watch.

CDF + High Goal with a robot directly in the way, they plowed right under/through them and still made the shot.

Re: Cheval auto club!

I'm curious, what method are y'all using for going up to the cheval? It looks like most bots are using encoders for driving the distance.

We use a proximity sensor on the tip of our manipulator to detect the CDF edge.
