Personally, I think it's too close to call this year. Each division is well balanced, and this game lends itself to weird upsets. I see quite a few potential "god" alliances that might occur. It all comes down to how the picking goes.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...
Alliance selection is the single MOST important part of this years game. Finals will be won and lost during the draft.

Newton, after all he was the inventer of Calculus! Newton and Archemedies seem to have some of the better performers this year. Past performance is not a very good indicationj of how well teams will do this year. Alot of "Rookie" teams seem to be doing well. What really matters is how well you've scouted the other teams your up against, robot reliability and technical skill, and experienced drivers. We have in Newton a couple of teams who have either won or runnered up in the REgional finals. Also, there are many teams that show a consistant performance. Just as in Drag Racing, consistantcy is the key to qualifying and winning. Just my 2 sense.

Rookie team 1114 [SimBotics] held on for a while in the Pittsburgh regionals.

hmmmmmmm.... interesting...

on another note..... newton has won the last 2 championships... you never kow bout that division ..... but this game is crazy! anyone might come out and surprise even the big dogs. look at 902 this year... unfortunate they couldn't come, but a second year team that could push nearly anyone all over the field! so well, you just never know..
