Re: Fun to do at St Louis

As stated above, the City Museum is absolutely amazing. We went there our first (and only) time going to Worlds and we all had a blast. There was also a place I forget the name of near our hotel that had like laser tag and arcade games and bumper cars and all that, but I feel that's not really what you're looking for.

Re: Fun to do at St Louis

Visit Washington University in St. Louis! WashU is a beautiful college filled with amazing people, and it's the 15th best university according to U.S. News. Everyone I've known who has gone there has loved it! (In fact, it was one of my top 2 colleges I was choosing between.) I highly recommend your team take a tour, especially if you're from far away and probably wouldn't visit on your own. Plus, they offer an FRC scholarship!

Fitz's is a great place to eat if you're there. They gave me the biggest root beer float I've ever seen! It was so good, but it was HUGE!

Piccione Pastry has the BEST cannoli's I've ever had! GO THERE. http://www.piccionepastry.com/

We were originally drawn to Pappy's because it was featured on the television show Man vs Food as a "must visit" of St Louis. We went there and I must say, I very much agree with the hype. It is well deserved and a fantastic example of classic American-style BBQ!

Re: Fun to do at St Louis

If you really want a St. Louis cultural experience, try to find a blues bar and see if they have the space for your team to visit. We did this in 2013, and it was really cool. If you enjoy live music and decent barbecue, most of these establishments are very clean and the service is great. Just check google reviews before picking one

Re: Fun to do at St Louis

I'm surprised no one has mentioned going up the Arch. We did this last year and it was an absolute blast. It's really not expensive either.

We also went to the City Museum last year as well. I'd had watched a lot of video on it prior to the trip and video does not prepare you for how awesome it actually is.

Being the coaster fanatic I am, also gotta mention Six Flags.

Justin Montois' views on St. Louis BBQ and it's ...alternatives.
Spoiler for Those too lazy to watch:

Don't get hyped up for BBQ and end up at Applebees.

We were told the area around the arch and the top of the arch is under construction so we decided agaimst it. Would also need to reserve tickets and timespots in advance.
