I've gotten confirmation from 5624 that they received a points spot. The fact that 834 got in after 1989 was removed from the list suggests that 1989 and 834 also made it on points.

Super pumped that 5624 is qualified for Worlds after winning two district events this year.

I figured that they, 1989, and 834 had all qualified via MAR point slots, since it would be too much of a coincidence for all three of them to get in off the waitlist. So the question is then, which two teams declined to give 5624 and 1989 (now 834) point slots besides 56 and 1403? It would be nice if the official ranking site was updated...

I'm really amazed by the MAR showing this year! Seven alliance captains!

I'm really shocked by the under-valuation of low goals on Archimedes. 5624 and 1391 played phenomenally in qualifications, running the fast low goal cyles that brought them success at their MAR district events. They were high on our pick list (we were ranked #10), and it's a shame they won't be on the field today.

I wish all the other MAR teams playing today the best of luck!!

It wasn't just Archimedes haha, we were ranked 14th and got passed up, and I think our performance was the strongest it's been this year. We pulled off quite a few upsets and our position 3 and 5 low goal autos were consistent the first time in ever. Oh well, that's how it goes. I believe it's because alliance captains wanted to go all in, win the division or nothing, and they realized low goals weren't enough to do that. It's a little disheartening, especially to see teams miss captures because they chose to run two high bots and a defense instead of one low goaler and one high goaler, but I can see why the choice was made.
