The main reason they had the most openings is that they were on the same weekend. There was also another STEMee event that some teams were obligated to go to because of their sponsorship. If FL & Tn ever go to districts, Albany is a relatively short trip from FL & Dalton is close to TN & AL. SC could potentially interact with GA. GA is a bit of a drive for all but the western part of NC.

3314 loves traveling outside MAR, we've gone to both an inter-district and an additional regional for the past two years. We went to the Waterbury District this year and last year, we're also returning to BattleCry @ WPI this year. As long as they keep letting us in we will probably continue to go.

Although we love competing and seeing all our friends in MAR, leaving district is a refreshing experience. We get to see new teams that we would not get to see otherwise and with them their design and strategy ideas.
