Re: FRC Blog - FIRST Future Innovator Award
They picked Newton because out of the three groups that were selected as finalists, only one of their teams made it to champs, and that team was on Newton (3476).

Re: FRC Blog - FIRST Future Innovator Award
Woosh
For real though, I feel like FIRST could've presented this at a better time. I just happened to sit down in the mostly-empty Newton stands during lunch to transfer over match footage and saw that there were people on the field. |

Re: FRC Blog - FIRST Future Innovator Award
Do you know if there's a way to see the videos/submissions of the teams who were finalists? It seems weird for this to be such a stealth award.

Re: FRC Blog - FIRST Future Innovator Award
We looked up from the Newton pits and saw no matches, just students on the field. We had no idea what was going on.
I saw some Code Orange students and figured they won. I was wrong. |

Re: FRC Blog - FIRST Future Innovator Award
The Newton field crew found out Friday morning that the award was being presented on the field. I believe the winner was not in attendance and the presenter took a selfie to send to the winner (I believe he said 'her').
